We got the final's line-up... No Ultra Naté, no Same Difference but Lys Assia is in! My winner was Ultra! I'm so disappointed. :/

Ok, this is so old fashioned but it's not that bad! And I kinda want Lys to win. It's gonna be so epic! Her on the ESC stage of 2012! 2012!! She's definitely gonna flop but who cares? Eeeepic! She will make it in the final but then bottom 5! But can you imagine her win the contest? lol!

OOOOOH!!!!!!! Loreen is back and this title sounds so promising!! I don't know why but I get a feeling that this is gonna be amazing!! I get a strong positive energy when I see the name Loreen next to "Euphoria". It might sound stupid but that's it!

Alright, I'm not really interested in Di Leva's entry.

I could even bet some money on him being Mello's winner. And no, I don't like that possibility because there are many more artists that I like. Of course it depends on the song too! But I think after Eric Saade the girls are gonna vote for him. And I don't get all the fuss about Ulrik. He's just ok to me.

Timoteij - Stormande Hav
Welcome back girls! They were my winners in 2010 but Sweden couldn't see that "Kom" was a real winner! I hope their comeback will be with something like "Kom"! Good luck Timoteij!

Afro-Dite - The Boy Can Dance
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! And that reaction is nothing really! I. AM. EXTATIC. Afro-Dite back in Mello!!! My all time favourite swedish entry ! How many times have I said this? Sorry guys but honestly I am extremely happy about their comeback!! And to be honest I'm glad they're gonna sing "The Boy Can Dance". The title sounds like it's a dance song. Dance...I mean up-tempo. It actually reminds me of "The Boy Does Nothing" by Alesha Dixon. Hope it's something like this! Hehe GO AFRO-DITE!!! :D

Charlotte Perrelli - The Girl
First of all, I'm happy to see her in Melodifestivalen but I don't want her to ESC again. And she won't make it anyway. The competition is hard and it's only been 3 years since her last ESC/Mello appearance. But I hope to see her in Globen! ;) My schlager diva! Well one of them anyways! :P

Hanna Lindblad - Goosebumps
Hanna's back. I didn't really like her entry in 2010. Let's hope she's got something better this year.

Sonja Aldén - I Din Himmel
Sonja's back!! Glad about this! Even though the title tells me it's gonna be a ballad and you know I don't like ballads but you never know!

The Moniker - I Want To Be Chris Isaak
Why oh why? Just one thing. If this song is as annoying as "Oh My God" I will die! I don't have a problem with him but last year's entry was horrible!

I don't know what to say about Andreas... I never liked any of his previous entries and I'm sorry to say that but I really can't stand his "wannabe-amarican" accent. I hope he doesn't "steal" anyone's spot in Globen!

Danny Saucedo - To The Sky
Well I'm not so surprised. Saade took the bite out of his mouth (oh my God! do they have that expression in english or is it totally greek?) last year. He's back for the revanche. But can you imagine Danny finishing second behind Ulrik this year? xD

Love Generation - Just A Little Bit
What's wrong with RedOne? Seriously! They gave them "Dance Alone" last year which should have been performed by Velvet (and I will say that until I die! It was a Velvet song!) and now they give them "Just A Little Bit"! Their live performance of "Dance Alone" was terrible! Not to mention that Malena Ernman white floor! I almost got blind! Duh!

Molly Sandén - Why Am I Crying
Totally a ballad. And I can tell that by the title but also by the fact that Molly said in an interview that she doesn't like dancing. So...

Dandy Andy! <3 My man! Andy without his girls but at least we'll get to see him! Make sure people you send him to Globen! I wanna see him! This year I got a great seat! But... "Aldrig Aldrig"? In swedish? Hmm what's he up to? EXCITED anyway!

Also that Sean Banan...I have no idea who he/she is but that name is also in the title of the song so I suppose it's the same person who will perform it. Abalone Dots...they're probably a group since the names are in parenthesis so it's possible that they will be the performers as well but I don't know. And I have a feeling that Michael Sideridis will also be the performer. 

And I see the old Melodifestivalen "dogs" again. I'm happy for some of them since I love schlager but let's hope Sweden will vote for the right song this year.

EDIT: I didn't comment RedOne! So the team is back huh? Hope they're wise enough to give their song to someone good! And yes, someone who's popular! Last year they should have given "Dance Alone" to Velvet!!! I can't think of anyone else that could have performed this better than Jenny!

The truth is that is not in my plans to represent Spain in Eurovision. It's a double edged sword and I do not need it in my career. A kiss, countryman!


I don't know what to say... She has a point! She's absolutely right about the double edged sword. Johnny Logan said exactly the same. But there's no way I compare "now" to "then". Things have changed. I am so against juries and I want them out but if Pastora would enter the ESC the juries could save her and give her a boost. And I admit that it would be too dangerous for Pastora to compete but not dangerous for her career. I don't believe that a bad placing in ESC could destroy someone's career (give me an example if you have one). And to go back to the double edged sword, the way I interpret it is you either win (or finish in top 10) or lose (below top 15). I guess Pastora's interpretation is: "I lose in ESC, then I will have successful albums, concerts etc and a dark spot with the name i.e. "20th place in ESC"". It's like people would think "oh she was so successful and she ruined everything with Eurovision". Is it really that bad? But anyway I don't believe Pastora would flop. I believe in what she can do but if she's "afraid" to enter the contest then there's nothing I can do... :/ Shame... :(

She killed me! :( She was my only hope for Spain and she's not interested in Eurovision! And I thought her appearance in the spanish NF last February was a positive sign... 

I saw a link at her official page on Facebook with an interview. An interview made by her fans. You know that kind of online interviews where the fans ask questions and the artist answers... Anyway I took a quick look at the interview and question #24 caught my eye. I don't speak spanish (well I know around 100 words maybe) but you don't need to speak spanish in order to understand the question. Here it is:

24. ¿Te gustaría ir a Eurovisión, Pastora?

No.

I don't think I need to translate this. Right? She said "no"! "No"! :( Whoever asked this question should also add the phrase "and if not, why not?" to his/her question. Well he or she didn't ask why not but I did! A while ago I saw this at her facebook page. Apparently there will be another online interview but I think this one will be on the radio. I submitted my question and I really hope they post the interview somewhere because if it's on the radio I won't be able to hear it. I have a class at 13:00! Damn it! Let's hope I get an answer and most importantly an answer where she leaves an open window for a possible participation in the future...

ESC 2012 - The swiss NF (stop)

OK guys I can't do this! I shouldn't have started blogging about this. Lab reports, exams, studying. No time! Plus, the voting has already begun. So I will wait until the next phase. I just hope that I will be able to blog when we get closer to spring and when all the NFs will kick off.

I'll just say that from all the songs I've heard so far, Ultra Naté's "My Love" is my winner. I just LOVE this! There's a bit ABBA in the beginning but that makes me like it more! ;)

And let me comment Mrs Eurovision! Lys Assia's comeback! How epic will it be if she gets the ticket to Baku? She'll definitely flop but who cares? I'll be able to say "yes! I saw the very first winner of the ESC competing on that stage after 56 years after her first victory!". And all of you who will be in Baku will be able to say that you saw her live! Here's her song. I kinda like it but it's quite old-fashioned and that's why I think she'll flop. Most people won't even know who she is. Even though I'm sure all the commentators will inform the viewers about who Lys is and that's why I think she will make it to the final but she won't make it to top 15!
