Melodifestivalen 2012 - Fourth semi - Results

Photo: Olle Kirchmeier/SVT
Mixed feelings. Again! I mean come on! I will never be 100% happy about mello results! Lisa Miskovsky made it to Globen! First! Even though I think Sarah Dawn Finer said that the names are announced in random order. Ehm ok I'd like to believe that she made it to Globen first coz that means that Danny wasn't so popular and even though he made it to Globen, he won't be a threat to Loreen!

To andra chansen: Dynazty and Lotta Engberg and Christer Sjögren

5th place - Charlotte Perrelli. Oh my God! :( Why Sweden? Not even a second chance? She deserved it! Aaaw and she was so sweet during the results' announcement. When it was her or Danny to Globen you could see on her face that she knew it was going to be Danny... Poor Charlotte! :(
6th place - Axel Algmar. Meh. I don't care about his song. I didn't like it.
7th place - Hanna Lindblad. Come on Sweden vol 2!! 7th? 7th???? I loooooved "Goosebumps"! And Hanna was amazing! At least a second chance for her!
8th place - OPA! No surprise here. They totally sucked and I am Greek!

And that's it! Now all 32 songs are free on youtube! And now remember. It has to be
LOREEN TO BAKU!!!!!!!!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - The full songs of heat 4 in Malmö!

1. The Girl - Charlotte Perrelli
Ok I actually love this right now! That "Mamma Mia" feeling is amazing! I don't want it in Baku but definitely in Globen!! How couldn't I not like a Perrelli song? Well a mello-Perrelli song! Love it! Love it!!

2. Allting Blir Bra Igen - OPA!
I am Greek and I totally dislike that 100% greek music. Now this, combined with the swedish language? Lethal combination! Sorry I can't listen to the entire song! It's too painful!

3. Land of Broken Dreams - Dynazty
Yeah, not my cup of tea.

4. Don't Let Me Down - Lotta Engberg and Christer Sjögren
I like the chorus but the rest is just...meh? Something doesn't sound right. It won't go far...

5. Goosebumps - Hanna Lindblad
Like! A lot! More than "Manipulated"!!! Wow! Great one!!!! I didn't get so excited from the 1-minute snippet but the full song is amazing!!!

6. Kyss Mig - Axel Algmark
I like the music but the rest is not good! Just ok-ish...

7. Why Start A Fire - Lisa Miskovsky
Yup I like that! To andra chansen! I'd like to say "to Globen" but it's difficult. But I do like this song. And Lisa will have a really nice presentation. It fits the song. Nice atmosphere.

8. Amazing - Danny Saucedo
Ok I like the song but as I said the gimmick is bad. Sure it's a bit wow but Sweden sending one gimmick after another won't look good. I'm afraid it won't work. Please Sweden don't ruin Loreen's chances! Please?

LOREEN TO BAKU!!!!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Helena Paparizou will perform "Popular"

Helena Paparizou will perform Eric Saade's "Popular" on Melodifestivalen's final! If you're watching Mello every year I'm sure you noticed that in the final's interval act, there's always an artist or group that covers the winning song of the previous year. Helena tweeted a few days ago that she's at SVT and that we should stay tuned... And we got some great news! The final so far is really boring (with the exception of Loreen of course) so having Helena there would be awesome! We'll have a better version of "Popular" too. :P
And suddenly I'm so happy that I'll be in Globen! I will see Helena again! :D Come on March 10th!!!! Come on!

ESC 2012 - Norway: Tooji - "Stay"

I still haven't heard a lot of the songs that got picked so far but there's a really big fuss about Tooji's "Stay" and I don't get that. Am I the only one who doesn't like this song and reminds me of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"? And it's kind of a Saade vol 2. So that means that Danny will be a Saade vol 3? Oh God! I knew we would have a lot of cases like this! As soon as something does well in ESC, you see lots of copies the next year...

ESC 2012 - Greece: songs to be presented on February 28th

Finally! After all these rumors we got some official info! The songs of the greek NF will be presented on February 28th at 10:00 CET. The artists and composers are not known yet. And for some reason I don't care about Greece this year. It's all about Spain, Iceland (if they keep it in icelandic!) and Sweden (if they send Loreen!) for me!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Snippets of the first rehearsals - Semi 4 Malmö

Ok snippets are out! Let's see Malmö!

1. The Girl - Charlotte Perrelli
I love Perrelli! I really do. But "The Girl"? Naah. Sorry, if this goes to Baku it won't even qualify. Ok maybe it will but it will do worse than "Hero". I want her in Globen though! ;D

2. Allting Blir Bra Igen - OPA!
Oh my God! That won't even work in Greece! Jesus Christ! This is like pure greek music with swedish lyrics! Next!

3. Land of Broken Dreams - Dynazty
Not my cup of tea and please! We already have a rock (metal? call it however you want) song in Globen. No need for another one.

4. Don't Let Me Down - Lotta Engberg and Christer Sjögren
Lovely Lotta! I always wanted to see her live. Does this mean I want them in Globen? I don't know! The song is kinda boring and they won't stand a chance in Baku! Sorry...

5. Goosebumps - Hanna Lindblad
I don't know if this is better than her 2010 entry "Manipulated"... I like "Goosebumps" but I don't see it going far...

6. Kyss Mig - Axel Algmark
What the f-word is that? (yeah like I've never used the word "fuck" before! lol) I'm being funny (?) here coz this sucks! And I don't know what else to say! Let's move on!

7. Why Start A Fire - Lisa Miskovsky
I like that. Lisa's song (along with Charlotte's) leaked on the internet earlier this week so it's not the first time I hear this. I'd like to see her in Globen. Though maybe through andra chansen coz I think Charlotte and Danny will make it to Globen. But hey! It's the Swedes who vote! You get my point right?

8. Amazing - Danny Saucedo
Ok they got Alex Sparrow's gimmick and took it a step forward. Not in a good way. I mean they need a gimmick like that, for what? My guess? The song is mediocre. That's what I believe and it's a shame that they need to do something like this to get votes. Danny will make it to Globen. No doubt about that! But this whole LED thing? Naah! And if Sweden sends this, I don't see it going well. It's like a Saade vol 2! With a cooler (?) gimmick! Europe won't take this well. Just because the Saade recipe worked last year, it doesn't mean you have to do it again. Bring something new to the contest! Something new called Loreen maybe? Oh my God!! I really don't like this! I like Danny but not this song, not this gimmick! It won't work in ESC! And ALL the tween girls are gonna ruin Loreen's chances! Damn it Sweden!

LOREEN TO BAKU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ESC 2012 - Spain: These are the 3 songs of the spanish final

The voting ended today at 12:00 CET and the 3rd song of the spanish final is "Ahora O Nunca" which means "Me Despido De Ti" is out.

So the 3 songs of the spanish final that will be held on March 3rd are:

"Quédate Conmigo"
"Tu Vida Es Tu Vida"
and "Ahora O Nunca"

And as all polls show, "Quédate Conmigo" will be the one that will travel to Baku! And I'm extremely happy about this! It's gonna be one of my all time favourite ESC entries! I love all of them and I think you know that if you've read my previous posts about Pastora. ;)

Good luck Spain! It's time you came back to the top 5!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Third semi - Results

Photo: Christian Ornberg/Expressen
I don't even want to comment the fact that Björn Ranelid made it to the final! I'm gonna have to watch that thing live! At least Sara Li saves the situation. Not entirely though. Hope Ranelid gets sick or something and he skips the final. Yeah right!

On the other hand I am really happy for Molly Sandén!! She made it to Globen! :D Yay!

Youngblood and Andreas Johnson to andra chansen. Meh to both of them!

5th place - Mattias Andréasson. Just wow Sweden. You left him out? Seriously?
6th place - Love Generation. Well no surprise here. Their song wasn't that strong.
7th place - Carolina Wallin Pérez. I liked her song! And just because she sang Kent she was high on my list! :P
8th place - Maria BenHajji. I liked her song too but she was way to nervous!

Ok Sweden! That's all for tonight! Thank you once again for these CRAPPY RESULTS! :)

Now do the most stupid thing in the entire Eurovision's history and send Ranelid to Baku! Come on! Do it! -.-

LOREEN TO BAKU!!!!

ESC 2012 - Iceland: "Mundu Eftir Mér" to be performed in icelandic or english?

I've never done this before. I never cared so much about an ESC entry to be performed in its original language. Since Iceland chose "Mundu Eftir Mér" I wanted it to be sung in icelandic in May. I added Gréta on my facebook friends list and I was thinking of asking her to keep the song in icelandic. Today I saw a post on her wall from one of my fb friends asking her the same thing. I commented on that agreeing with what she wrote and we started a conversation about keeping the songs in the original languages and how english almost always destroy the songs. Gréta replied. I will quote her reply (hope that's fine... :S)

We have to think of it this way; in Eurovision 90% of the people who watch and vote have not heard the songs before. So they don´t have a language preference for each and every song. English appeals to so many more people than any other native language. It ensures that the majority of the people who watch understand what we´re singing about. Mundu eftir mér tells a story and if English is a better tool to deliver that story than of course we will use English.....but only if it´s a BETTER tool. That is if it "sings" better. We are working on English lyrics but no decisions have been made on whether we use them or not. We do however have to give it a shot in order to deliver our story. The "nordic" elements are in the music arrangement and I´m trying my very best to enhance those elements. I´m so grateful that you guys have strong opinions about my song and that you like it. It makes this all worth while. I just hope that you will give the English lyrics the same chance I will. Thanks again!
 My reply

But you know, if you have a winning song (which I believe you do) then lyrics doesn't matter. I mean look at Serbia 2007! Of course if we look at the winners of the '00s only one winning song was performed in a native language but that's because everyone sends their songs in english.

I really hope you think about it a LOT! Mundu eftir mér is a song that will ONLY work in icelandic!! You don't have to understand the lyrics in order to get CHILLS from a song. I only understand a couple of words and I still get the chills every time I hear it. It's the music, it's the atmosphere you got on stage guys!

Just for a change Iceland! Send the song in your language! After all, that's what Eurovision is about! Showing to the rest of Europe YOUR country, YOUR culture, YOUR language!

Best of luck! ♥
Now I totally believe what I say! And I'm not the only one. There are eurofans out there who have great arguments on that. Try for instance esctodayforum.com! I'm listening to "Mundu Eftir Mér" while I'm blogging. It's amazing! It's a feeling that there's absolutely no way you can get if you hear it in english. Of course you can say "how do you know that? you haven't even listened to the english version!". Well no! But it's not a pop song. It's an ethnic song! It's an ICELANDIC song! The music, the atmosphere on stage, the language! All these make this song what it is. If you change the language you cut off an important part of the song! If not the most important! This song is meant to be sung in icelandic!!

What about the 90% of people who won't understand the lyrics? SO WHAT? Just go back to the first ESC decades! All the winning songs were performed in the original languages! What about then? Wasn't back then a 90% of people who didn't understand the lyrics? Yeah we had juries back then! Again, SO WHAT? Juries consist of people, right? Those people didn't speak every single european language or did they?

People don't need to understand the lyrics in order to feel the song! This is the magic of music! You need to give them something original! And "Mundu Eftir Mér" is original! I truly believe that it will fail if it's performed in english! I really do! And I am very sad that they want to send this beautiful song in english! :( They have a song that will definitely put them in the top 5 and they're thinking of ruining that chance...

I don't know what else to say! Seriously! Gréta, Jónsi and the entire icelandic delegation need to "take a walk" around the ESC forums and see what fans think! Because it's us that vote! I'm one person here but there are A LOT more out there thinking the same.

Just vote on the poll below and let me know what you think about the language. I still have readers right? I check my stats and I see I have views. Now I hope it's not random people who accidentally came here. :P

Anyway, vote please! :)

In which language should Mundu Eftir Mér be performed?

Thank you!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Snippets of the first rehearsals - Semi 3 Leksand

1. Youngblood - Youngblood
LOL! Hahahahahaha This is "Manboy" vol 2!! Oh my God! I really don't like this Kempe project! Big dislike!

2. I Mina Drömmar - Maria BenHajji
The webjoker. It's the first time I hear this and I kinda like it but nothing much.

3. Förlåt Mig - Mattias Andréasson
Hm... I don't know... An ok-ish song. Mattias has to get just one breath to sing the entire verse. Tricky. But ok... I guess he'll make it to the final because of the tween girls. Fine by me, I don't really care.

4. Just A Little Bit - Love Generation
Meh. "Dance Alone" was better. Nothing much again and since they're not so popular I don't see them getting that far.

5. Sanningen - Carolina Wallin Pérez
An ok song but not the song that can get you to ESC's final. Let alone get in the top 5.

6. Lovelight - Andreas Johnson
Ok so last year he claimed that A Friend In London from Denmark "stole" his "Sing For Me" and finished 5th in ESC with "New Tomorrow"and now he decided to enter Melodifestivalen. I guess he thinks since AFIL finished 5th with one of "his" songs, he can do it as well. I don't like the song. I can't stand his I-wanna-sound-like-an-american accent!

7. Why Am I Crying - Molly Sandén
I liked what I heard but again nothing much. I knew it was going to be a ballad (or whatever. low tempo song) so I didn't get my hopes high. The Molly we all know.

8. Mirakel - Björn Ranelid feat. Sara Li
Oh my God! Ranelid ruins the entire song! It's crap! Sara Li's part sounds nice but eew! Kick Ranelid out please!

Shit! This semi is worse than last week's! What the hell is going on? Of course that's quite good. Loreen's chances are going higher and higher! Please prevent the tween girls from voting the night of the final! Don't let them ruin Sweden's victory ONCE AGAIN!

LOREEN TO BAKU!

Dear Alcazar...

...can we please have once in a while a new song? It's been 9 months (!!) since the release of "Feel 4 U" and I feel I need my next Alcazar dose. Can't you just go in the studio every few months and record an ALCAZAR song to keep us going? No strings attached! No releases of CD singles or gigs or anything! Just a song! An Alcazar song! I don't really think that a record company could work this way anyway but since I don't know how things work in the music industry I can hope right? Or whatever buy your own studio and do all the work by yourselves! Just bring another Alcazar baby to this world!

Your fans.

PS I sign this "Your fans" because I know I'm not the only one who wants you back. And since there's no comeback planned in the near future, we'll be satisfied with just a song.

ESC 2012 - Spain: 4 songs released to the public

The songs are out! Maybe old news to you by now but I got home a couple of hours ago. Anyway! Here are all the songs.

Quédate Conmigo
Pastora's favourite! And apparently most of the eurofans like this one! Especially the Spanish ones! Which is good. I like it. I had to listen to this a couple of times to like it. A lot! Although I don't know how positive this is. I'm a fan and I needed to hear it a couple of times. In ESC you have to convince millions of people that you have the best song and you have only 3 minutes. And in Spain's case you only have 3 minutes since they compete only in the final! But I trust Pastora. Listening to the studio version is not enough. Personally I prefer to watch her live performances on youtube and not just listen to the studio versions. She's one of the best performers I've ever seen! That said, the 3 minutes seem to be enough after all. ;)
4.5/5

Tu Vida Es Tu Vida
Now I hope you listened to this song from the link I provided above because if you "youtubed" it there's a chance you listened to the album version. The ESC version is slightly different. They added a beat which is missing form the album version. I love this song! I loved it since the first time I heard it! I don't have to say a lot here...
4.5/5

Me Despido De Ti
I really like this one. "Una Mujer Como Yo" is a fantastic album! I love all the songs in it. But I don't want this one to ESC.
4/5

Ahora O Nunca
I like this one too. But another one that I don't want to see in ESC...
4/5

So the voting is between Me Despido De Ti and Ahora O Nunca. It will end on February 20th. I don't really mind seeing any of these two in the spanish final but definitely Tu Vida Es Tu Vida or Quedate Conmigo to ESC! All I know is that Pastora will bring a great result to Spain and it was about time!

ESC 2012 - Iceland's, Norway's and Hungary's entries

Iceland
So the expected happened. Gréta & Jónsi won with "Mundu Eftir Mér". Ok this grows on me but I still wanted Regina Ósk! :( However I think they made a good choice. I just hope they keep it in icelandic!

Norway
Tooji with "Stay" will represent Norway. This sounds soooo familiar! Nothing much for me. Maybe it will grow on me? I don't think so...

Hungary
Compact Disco for Hungary with "Sound Of Our Hearts". A bit indiferent... They have a good draw in the semi but I don't know if this will help them.

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Second semi - Results

Photo: Olle Kirchmeier/SVT
Ulrik Munther and David Lindgren made it to Globen.

Timoteij and  Top Cats made it to andra chansen.

5th place - Thomas Di Leva
6th place - Sonja Aldén
7th place - Andreas Lundstedt
8th place - Mimi Oh

Too predictable that Ulrik would make it to Globen. David was the surprise but only because he wasn't so famous. Timoteij's song wasn't "Kom" vol 2 so ac was quite expected. Top Cats? What are they doing to ac?

Despite his name Di Leva couldn't go through. To me it's a surpriste that he finished 5th! Sonja.... well the song was a bit boring... Poor Andy! :( He did his best tonight and he finished 7th! :( Not even in ac! And Mimi Oh? Well I thought she'd be around 7th to 8th. Well 8th it is.

The possitive thing is that Ulrik, David and Danny will split the votes in the final and they will cancel each other out leaving the first spot for Loreen! I mean isn't that what happened in 2010? Eric Saade, Darin and Salem Al Fakir cancelled each other out and Anna Bergendahl won! ;)

LOREEN TO BAKU!!!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - The full songs of heat 2 in Göteborg!

Here are the full songs of tonight's semi!!

1. Soldiers - Ulrik Munther
Big hype for nothing. It's all about his name. I don't really like the song after all and his accent is bad when he sings "soldiers"! I mean you can't pronounce correctly the title of the song? But yeah ok that's absolutely nothing. It's me. I have the problem. No doubt he'll make it to Globen. I just hope he stays there.

2. Baby Doll - Top Cats
I don't like this. I just don't. As I said it's "The King" all over again!

3. I Din Himmel - Sonja Aldén
Ah... I just like the chorus. Ballad... Sorry...

4. Aldrig Aldrig - Andreas Lundstedt
Ok I love this! Probably because it's Andy's song but that can't change now. I love it! But I'm gonna like it more in a few hours. Just give me Andreas on a stage and let him sing whatever! Love seeing him performing! And judging by that 1 minute snippet from the rehearsals I'm sure we'll see something great! :)

5. Stormande Hav - Timoteij
I really miss "Kom"... I like "Stormande Hav" but "Kom" was much better. I still want Timoteij to Globen though!

6. Shout It Out - David Lindgren
Wow. I actually like this! To ac.

7. Det Går För Långsamt - Mimi Oh
Yup I still like this but it's nothing much. I want to see the performance as well.

8. Ge Aldrig Upp - Thomas Di Leva
I don't like this. The Swedes seem to like Di Leva a lot so I won't be surprised if he goes through...

A couple of hours left! Fingers crossed for Andreas!

Watch live here at 20:00 CET.

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Snippets of the first rehearsals - Semi 2 Göteborg

Ok the snippets of today's rehearsals are up! Which means one minute of each song and act is available! Let's see!

1. Soldiers - Ulrik Munther
Just an ok song! No wow-factor at all! No way I want this on ESC when we have Loreen! But keep an eye on Ulrik. Unfortunately the teenage girls will send him to Globen and maybe to Baku. (no thank you!)

2. Baby Doll - Top Cats
Wow. I din't know the Playtones entered Mello 2012! Come on! Seriously? It's "The King" all over again. Don't like it!

3. I Din Himmel - Sonja Aldén
I like Sonja but the song... Hm nothing much for me. It's a ballad which means, well you know, I don't like it. (Spain and Israel in ESC can have as many ballads as they want but it's off topic right now) The thing is that it's not a great ballad so I don't like it. I totally prefer Sonja's Mello 2007 entry! Maybe I need to listen to "I Din Himmel" a few more times but I don't know if it will grow on me... :/

4. Aldrig Aldrig - Andreas Lundstedt
Dandy Andy! I'm gonna say a lot here and I think you know why. ;P Ok I don't read or watch any interviews of the Mello artists. Except for Andreas'. So I know a bit more about the song and why he picked this song and why there's not much dancing (in that 1 minute snippet at least). Andreas wanted to focus on his vocal performance. To show us what he's capable of and I think we can see that in "Aldrig Aldrig". I like the song but again nothing special that can make Europe go crazy. It has a very familiar sound. Mello sound? Hm I'll call it mello sound. I don't see him in Globen. Unfortunately. Hopefully to andra chansen? He's in a difficult semi even though out of these first 4 songs I like only Andreas'. But of course I'm biased hahaha. It's proven that the Swedes vote for names and not for the songs. I don't know... maybe it's because I'm not used to it but I can't see Andreas solo. I want the Alcazar Andreas! He needs Alcazar! He needs his girls. We need the Alcazar music!!!

5. Stormande Hav - Timoteij
Oh my God!! Oh my God!!! I read so many comments about this! About "Stormande Hav" being an exact copy of "Kom" but this is nowhere near it!!! I'm out of words! Totally not what I expected! I'm quite disappointed! So this is it. Loreen to Baku hands down and I don't care that we have 2 more semis to go!

6. Shout It Out - David Lindgren
Ah nothing again. This semi is really bad! This is totally not the worst song. And it's not bad either but I don't see it going far.

7. Det Går För Långsamt - Mimi Oh
I like this! I like Mimi! Good for the ESC? Naah.

8. Ge Aldrig Upp - Thomas Di Leva
I wonder if Thomas ever wears pants! I never liked this bizzare style! As for the song, I don't like it much.

Seriously this is a really bad semi! And if it wasn't for the "big" names I'd say that Andreas has a chance. Needless to say that I want him in Globen right? So biaseeed! :P Fingers crossed for my man! I'm gonna vote for him!

LOREEN TO BAKU!

ESC 2012 - Izabo with "Time" for Israel

So it was today after all! But not the artist I expected! I wanted Maya Buskila with the song that I don't know its title! Oh well... Now we're waiting to hear the song. Izabo describe "Time" as electronic pop, with an oriental flavour. It sounds nice. Let's see...

Monday, February 6, 2012

ESC 2012 - Israel to pick artist and song tomorrow

Israel will pick their artist and song tomorrow!

Tha candidates are:

Kabra Casai
Maya Buskila
Tzvika Pik
Vladi Blaiberg
Hen Aharoni
Carolina
Izabo
Red Band

Maya's song is rumored to be this! You can't imagine how many times I've listened to this! I can even sing the chorus without having seen the lyrics and of course without knowing what I'm singing! I don't even know its title!! :P I am so gonna vote for it if Maya's the one!

EDIT: Change of plans! Tomorrow, Wednesday 8th IBA will announce the israeli representative. No iformation if the song will be announced as well. Damn. One more day!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - First semi - Results

Photo: Olle Kirchmeier/SVT © svt.se
First semi is over! Mixed feelings! I am SUPER-EXCITED coz Loreen made it to the final! I'm gonna see her live in Globen!!!!!! :D

But, Afro-Dite finished 5th! 5th! Not even in andra chansen!!!!!! :( :( AAAAAAAAAH!!!

Second finalist were Dead by April (meh). Sean Banan and Thorsten Flinck went to andra chansen.

Marie Serneholt finished 6th :(, Abalone Dots 7th and the Moniker 8th.

That's it! GRRRR Sweden! No Afro-Dite?

Melodifestivalen 2012 - The full songs of heat 1 in Växjö!

Here are the full songs of tonight's semi!!

1. Sean Den Förste Banan - Sean Banan
I still don't like this but I'm a bit afraid of this...

2. På väg - Abalone Dots
Ok I actually like this! The full version is really nice. Not for the ESC but I like it. I like country!

3. I Want To Be Chris Isaak (This Is Just The Beginning) - The Moniker
Again, better than last year's song but still not my favourite.

4. The Boy Can Dance - Afro-Dite
"Never Let It Go" reloaded!!! But kinda more fresh (I can't believe I'm saying this!). "Never Let It Go" is my all time favourite swedish entry and "The Boy Can Dance" sounds better to my ears! People say it's outdated. Ok maybe a bit and that's because schlager is in a coma (remember? In a coma. NOT dead!) in Eurovision. But I don't care! I.ADORE.IT.

5. Mystery - Dead by April
Can we just get rid of the guy with the "monster" voice? I always hate that in songs. It ruins the song!

6. Salt & Pepper - Marie Serneholt
I like this a lot! But I find a bit annoying the "salt & pepper, salt & pepper, salt & pepper pepper"... :S

7. Jag reser mig igen - Thorsten Flinck och Revolutionsorkestern
I'm sorry I couldn't finish this. I just can't listen to this!

8. Euphoria - Loreen
Thank God Loreen is the one to close the first heat! Just send her to Baku people!! I'm gonna vote for her tonight!

Less than 4 hours left! :D
Då kör vi!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - Snippets of the first rehearsals - Semi 1 Växjö

It's time to blog! I waited until SVT uploaded all of the snippets. We're good to go now. ;)

1. Sean Den Förste Banan - Sean Banan
Ok... Don't like this. Joke entry although the music is quite "melodifestivalen". But a big big NO!

2. På väg - Abalone Dots
A bit boring I'd say... But not a bad song. It won't work on ESC though.

3. I Want To Be Chris Isaak (This Is Just The Beginning) - The Moniker
Ok better than last year! Thank God! But still not my cup of tea. I don't see him in the final one way or another. Unlike last year.

4. The Boy Can Dance - Afro-Dite
My girls!! Yeah baby! The descriptions they gave didn't let me down! Love love LOOOOOVE IT!!! Catchy and DISCO!! Too bad we don't have a video of the rehearsal yet (one of them was wearing a t-shirt with a company's logo or something and SVT didn't want to promote the company for free). I just want them in Globen! Nothing else! I just want to see them performing this live. In. Globen. Please?

5. Mystery - Dead by April
It's good to have different gernes in Melodifestivalen but that doesn't mean I like the song.

6. Salt & Pepper - Marie Serneholt
I like this. If it was up to me I would definitely send it to andra chansen. (well yeah Afro-Dite is my one finalist and the second is the lady at No8 ;))

7. Jag reser mig igen - Thorsten Flinck och Revolutionsorkestern
What was that? Next please!

8. Euphoria - Loreen
And what we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is 2012's winner! Just read the description of scandipop about Loreen's rehearsal! This is exactly what I thought when I saw the title of her song! Like months ago! Loreen to Baku so it can be Stockholm 2013 please! The only thing that concerns me a bit is the backing vocals. The live backing vocals in ESC...

So Afro-Dite and Loreen to Globen and Marie Serneholt and -I can't believe I'm actually gonna say this- The Moniker to andra chansen. Well it's not a good heat for me and all I care about is my 2 finalists!

47 hours left!
