Melodifestivalen 2013 - Rehearsals of the fourth semi

Ok before I start commenting on the rehearsals let me tell you that Carola will perform at the interval act of the final! Malmö's interval act will be better though. For me at least. We'll get to that even though I think it's old news by now but I'm super excited about it, so yeah, I will say a few things on that.

Army of Lovers - Rockin’ The Ride
Legends or what? However, correct me if I'm wrong but that was a playback right? The song is quite catchy. Weird lyrics but it's AoL! Green light from me!

Lucia Piñera - Must Be Love
"We could have had it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaall, rolling in the deeeeeeeeeeeep...." Sorry I got carried away. That's not what Lucia was singing. Or was it? No? Ok. It's not bad but I need to hear the full version.

Robin Stjernberg - You
His voice annoys me and the song is nothing special. Next!

Syliva Vrethammar - Trivialitet
Seriously? o.O For the love of God! Really I'm like wtf? I don't like it. I find it boring and the perfect candidate for the 8th place! 

Ralf Gyllenhammar - Bed On Fire
Brolle in 20 years from now? Hopefully not! Ralf, dear Ralf. What is this? I have to say I got scared for a moment... You'll know in which part. Not really my cup of tea...

Behrang Miri - Jalla Dansa Sawa
That's nice actually. Perfect after this snoozefest we had until now (AoL are an excpetion). 

Terese Frendenwall - Breaking The Silence
The winner of "Svensktoppen nästa".... I'm not fan of the song. I got a Lisa Miskovsky wannabe vibe and that's not good...

Ulrik Munther - Tell The World I'm Here
Better than last year's attempt. Much better I can say. For my taste. But still it's nothing "wow". I see him making it to the final though... Little girls will vote for him.


So it's Army of Lovers and Behrang to the final for me. Or Lucia (yeah I know!) instead of Behrang. I'll be fine with Ulrik too. I guess.

Anyway, let's go the important part of the fourth semi! The opening and interval acts! Petra Mede will open the semi on Staturday! :D Wiiiie!! I've no idea what she's gonna do but I don't care! It's Petra Mede!

ALCAZAR

Alcazar will perform on Staruday! That's the interval act! Danny will be the "4th member" (a bit -.- here)... No idea what he's gonna do. Why does he have to be involved in everything? Really? Can't they let my Alcazar do their thing? Ok, ok. I stop whinning. I'm actually in a great great mood! Because I am going to Malmö!!!! I went through a mini (serious) depression the day I found out they'll perform in mello but that was it. I bought a ticket for tomorrow's general rehearsal! There was no way I will let them "go away" again! I haven't seen them since Stockholm Pride 2011! They have reunited a few times since then but it was either for private performances, or they were too far, or I had no money (ok I don't have money now but to hell with it! I'm going!) or I found out about the performance after they did it! That's it! I'm going to see them! Tomorrow I am going to Malmö!

So on Saturday morning [(if I manage to come back home somehow) coz I haven't booked a ticket to come home yet] you will have, for the first time through my blog, a review about what you will see on tv on Saturday evening!

Melodifestivalen 2012 - LOREEN TO BAKU!!

ÄNTLIGEN SVERIGE! RÄTT LÅT VANN!!!!!!

I don't know where to start vol ∞. I've said this phrase so many times that I lost count. EXTATIC! That was the best day of the entire 2012 and I don't care if it's still March!

Poor Danny... Once again he came 2nd. I really wouldn't wanna be in his shoes! As soon as I arrived in Globen I knew Loreen would be the winner. Everyone around me said Loreen, Loreen, Loreen. There were some contests where you were supposed to guess the winner. Everyone was saying Loreen. And then in the arena! PANIC! I don't know if you noticed that but while Sarah (Dawn Finer) was introducing Loreen, the public, well including me, was screaming and clapping. Honestly I didin't hear a word of what Sarah said! I seriously doubt if this ever happened before! Actually I'm sure about it! Not to mention the new record she made! 670.551 votes just for Loreen! 3 of them were mine! Hahahaha

You can't possibly imagine how happy I was when Danny got those 106 points coz right then we knew Loreen was the winner! I literally jumped off my chair! My hands hurt so much from all that clapping! Well they hurt last year too but this year was x2! :P

Well I don't know what else to say about the night. I always forget all that! Oh I loved Sarah's video with Azerjan. Ajerban. Azerbaijan! :P And shame on Sweden for giving the minimum votes to Lisa Miskovsky! Less than Ranelid? Gee!


And now the fun part! Waiting for the artists at the efterfest entrance. Just like last year! ;) It was freezing cold! Really windy! When I left I couldn't feel anything! Seriously! But anyway, when I got there, there were very few people. I was looking left and right all the time to see if any of the artists was coming. As I turn my head I see right in front of me Sandra Kim!! Oh my God!! Sandra Kim!! Yup! Got a photo! :D Yay! Then my beloved Helena!! We had a little chat too! Then Eric Saade! I only took a photo with him because people hadn't seen him yet. Hahaha Had people jumped on him, I wouldn't wait for a photo but I had a chance so why let it go? Also, Marie Serneholt, Love Generation, Youngblood, Dynazty, Dead by April and David Lindgren were there but I didn't take photos with any of them. Well Marie was on the phone when she arrived so I didn't want to interrupt her. Actually out of all the artists tonight, I only wanted to see Helena and Lisa. As I said I met Helena so now I had to wait for Lisa. Luckily I recognized her while she was too far. I went to her, asked for a photo, we took it and then I said "Thank you! Now I can go home!!". Hahaha She thanked me back, hugged me and when I started walking away she said "Wait! That's for you"...

..."It's bad but..." "Haha it's ok! Thank you!" *HUG* hahaha I had the feeling that Lisa would be very friendly in person. Well I was right. ;)


And now that Loreen is going to Baku, what's the new slogan? I mean we can't keep saying "Loreen to Baku" right?

Mixed feelings. Again! I mean come on! I will never be 100% happy about mello results! Lisa Miskovsky made it to Globen! First! Even though I think Sarah Dawn Finer said that the names are announced in random order. Ehm ok I'd like to believe that she made it to Globen first coz that means that Danny wasn't so popular and even though he made it to Globen, he won't be a threat to Loreen!

To andra chansen: Dynazty and Lotta Engberg and Christer Sjögren

5th place - Charlotte Perrelli. Oh my God! :( Why Sweden? Not even a second chance? She deserved it! Aaaw and she was so sweet during the results' announcement. When it was her or Danny to Globen you could see on her face that she knew it was going to be Danny... Poor Charlotte! :(
6th place - Axel Algmar. Meh. I don't care about his song. I didn't like it.
7th place - Hanna Lindblad. Come on Sweden vol 2!! 7th? 7th???? I loooooved "Goosebumps"! And Hanna was amazing! At least a second chance for her!
8th place - OPA! No surprise here. They totally sucked and I am Greek!

1. The Girl - Charlotte Perrelli
Ok I actually love this right now! That "Mamma Mia" feeling is amazing! I don't want it in Baku but definitely in Globen!! How couldn't I not like a Perrelli song? Well a mello-Perrelli song! Love it! Love it!!

2. Allting Blir Bra Igen - OPA! 
I am Greek and I totally dislike that 100% greek music. Now this, combined with the swedish language? Lethal combination! Sorry I can't listen to the entire song! It's too painful!

3. Land of Broken Dreams - Dynazty  
Yeah, not my cup of tea.

4. Don't Let Me Down - Lotta Engberg and Christer Sjögren
I like the chorus but the rest is just...meh? Something doesn't sound right. It won't go far...

5. Goosebumps - Hanna Lindblad
Like! A lot! More than "Manipulated"!!! Wow! Great one!!!! I didn't get so excited from the 1-minute snippet but the full song is amazing!!!

6. Kyss Mig - Axel Algmark 
I like the music but the rest is not good! Just ok-ish...

7. Why Start A Fire - Lisa Miskovsky  
Yup I like that! To andra chansen! I'd like to say "to Globen" but it's difficult. But I do like this song. And Lisa will have a really nice presentation. It fits the song. Nice atmosphere.

8. Amazing - Danny Saucedo
Ok I like the song but as I said the gimmick is bad. Sure it's a bit wow but Sweden sending one gimmick after another won't look good. I'm afraid it won't work. Please Sweden don't ruin Loreen's chances! Please?

Ok snippets are out! Let's see Malmö!

1. The Girl - Charlotte Perrelli
I love Perrelli! I really do. But "The Girl"? Naah. Sorry, if this goes to Baku it won't even qualify. Ok maybe it will but it will do worse than "Hero". I want her in Globen though! ;D

2. Allting Blir Bra Igen - OPA! 
Oh my God! That won't even work in Greece! Jesus Christ! This is like pure greek music with swedish lyrics! Next!

3. Land of Broken Dreams - Dynazty 
Not my cup of tea and please! We already have a rock (metal? call it however you want) song in Globen. No need for another one.

4. Don't Let Me Down - Lotta Engberg and Christer Sjögren
Lovely Lotta! I always wanted to see her live. Does this mean I want them in Globen? I don't know! The song is kinda boring and they won't stand a chance in Baku! Sorry...

5. Goosebumps - Hanna Lindblad
I don't know if this is better than her 2010 entry "Manipulated"... I like "Goosebumps" but I don't see it going far...

6. Kyss Mig - Axel Algmark
What the f-word is that? (yeah like I've never used the word "fuck" before! lol) I'm being funny (?) here coz this sucks! And I don't know what else to say! Let's move on!

7. Why Start A Fire - Lisa Miskovsky 
I like that. Lisa's song (along with Charlotte's) leaked on the internet earlier this week so it's not the first time I hear this. I'd like to see her in Globen. Though maybe through andra chansen coz I think Charlotte and Danny will make it to Globen. But hey! It's the Swedes who vote! You get my point right?

8. Amazing - Danny Saucedo 
Ok they got Alex Sparrow's gimmick and took it a step forward. Not in a good way. I mean they need a gimmick like that, for what? My guess? The song is mediocre. That's what I believe and it's a shame that they need to do something like this to get votes. Danny will make it to Globen. No doubt about that! But this whole LED thing? Naah! And if Sweden sends this, I don't see it going well. It's like a Saade vol 2! With a cooler (?) gimmick! Europe won't take this well. Just because the Saade recipe worked last year, it doesn't mean you have to do it again. Bring something new to the contest! Something new called Loreen maybe? Oh my God!! I really don't like this! I like Danny but not this song, not this gimmick! It won't work in ESC! And ALL the tween girls are gonna ruin Loreen's chances! Damn it Sweden!

Ok first of all I missed the press conference so I don't know what happened with the song "Porslin"... We have 32 artists but no song entitled "Porslin". No idea what happened but I'll find out.
Secondly, no Magnus Carlsson... Then we have a few artists I like... Nah semis 1 and 2 are better. In semis 3 and 4 I'm rooting for Perrelli and Danny so far. The rest will depend on the songs.

OOOOOH!!!!!!! Loreen is back and this title sounds so promising!! I don't know why but I get a feeling that this is gonna be amazing!! I get a strong positive energy when I see the name Loreen next to "Euphoria". It might sound stupid but that's it!

I could even bet some money on him being Mello's winner. And no, I don't like that possibility because there are many more artists that I like. Of course it depends on the song too! But I think after Eric Saade the girls are gonna vote for him. And I don't get all the fuss about Ulrik. He's just ok to me.

Timoteij - Stormande Hav
Welcome back girls! They were my winners in 2010 but Sweden couldn't see that "Kom" was a real winner! I hope their comeback will be with something like "Kom"! Good luck Timoteij!

Afro-Dite - The Boy Can Dance
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! And that reaction is nothing really! I. AM. EXTATIC. Afro-Dite back in Mello!!! My all time favourite swedish entry ! How many times have I said this? Sorry guys but honestly I am extremely happy about their comeback!! And to be honest I'm glad they're gonna sing "The Boy Can Dance". The title sounds like it's a dance song. Dance...I mean up-tempo. It actually reminds me of "The Boy Does Nothing" by Alesha Dixon. Hope it's something like this! Hehe GO AFRO-DITE!!! :D

Charlotte Perrelli - The Girl
First of all, I'm happy to see her in Melodifestivalen but I don't want her to ESC again. And she won't make it anyway. The competition is hard and it's only been 3 years since her last ESC/Mello appearance. But I hope to see her in Globen! ;) My schlager diva! Well one of them anyways! :P

Hanna Lindblad - Goosebumps
Hanna's back. I didn't really like her entry in 2010. Let's hope she's got something better this year.

Sonja Aldén - I Din Himmel
Sonja's back!! Glad about this! Even though the title tells me it's gonna be a ballad and you know I don't like ballads but you never know!

The Moniker - I Want To Be Chris Isaak
Why oh why? Just one thing. If this song is as annoying as "Oh My God" I will die! I don't have a problem with him but last year's entry was horrible!

I don't know what to say about Andreas... I never liked any of his previous entries and I'm sorry to say that but I really can't stand his "wannabe-amarican" accent. I hope he doesn't "steal" anyone's spot in Globen!

Danny Saucedo - To The Sky
Well I'm not so surprised. Saade took the bite out of his mouth (oh my God! do they have that expression in english or is it totally greek?) last year. He's back for the revanche. But can you imagine Danny finishing second behind Ulrik this year? xD

Love Generation - Just A Little Bit
What's wrong with RedOne? Seriously! They gave them "Dance Alone" last year which should have been performed by Velvet (and I will say that until I die! It was a Velvet song!) and now they give them "Just A Little Bit"! Their live performance of "Dance Alone" was terrible! Not to mention that Malena Ernman white floor! I almost got blind! Duh!

Molly Sandén - Why Am I Crying
Totally a ballad. And I can tell that by the title but also by the fact that Molly said in an interview that she doesn't like dancing. So...

Andreas Lundstedt - Aldrig Aldrig
Dandy Andy! <3 My man! Andy without his girls but at least we'll get to see him! Make sure people you send him to Globen! I wanna see him! This year I got a great seat! But... "Aldrig Aldrig"? In swedish? Hmm what's he up to? EXCITED anyway! 

Björn Ranelid & Sara Li - Mirakel
Wanna bet? Ballad! But don't know either of them.

Not my cup of tea but it's nice to see different genres in Mello.

Abalone Dots...they're probably a group since the names are in parenthesis so it's possible that they will be the performers as well but I don't know. And I have a feeling that Michael Sideridis will also be the performer.
